• Umspannwerk für den Offshore-Windpark Nordsee Ost errichtet
• Rund 1.800 t schwere Umspannplattform wurde erfolgreich auf Fundament gesetzt
• Jetzt wird die Station mit den Exportkabeln und mit der parkinternen Verkabelung verbunden und anschließend die Inbetriebnahme durchgeführt

Im Baufeld des Offshore-Windparks Nordsee Ost von RWE Innogy wurde Hochzeit gefeiert: So nennt man den Bauvorgang, der das Fundament des Umspannwerkes mit der Umspannplattform verbindet. Damit wurde das Umspannwerk mit all seinen elektrischen Komponenten erfolgreich auf See errichtet.

Drei Tage lang schipperten rund 1.800 Tonnen Stahl durch die Nordsee: Im dänischen Aalborg begann die Reise für das rund 15 Meter hohe Umspannwerk zum Baufeld des RWE Innogy Offshore-Windparks Nordsee Ost, der rund 30 Kilometer nördlich der Insel Helgoland entsteht. Am Samstag konnte das Schwergewicht mittels eines Schwimmkrans auf das Fundament gesetzt werden. Damit ist die gewichtsmäßig schwerste Komponente des Hochseewindparks installiert.

„In 16 Monaten wurde die Umspannstation durch unseren Vertragspartner Bladt Industries, einer Stahlkonstruktionsfirma, zusammen mit den dänischen Unterlieferanten Semco und ISC entwickelt und gebaut,“ berichtet Matthias Esken, Projektleiter für die Umspannstation bei Nordsee Ost. „Wir werden das Umspannwerk nun mit der bereits installierten inneren Parkverkabelung und mit den noch zu installierenden TenneT Exportkabeln verbinden.“ Marcel Sunier, Projektdirektor für den Windpark Nordsee Ost bei RWE Innogy, ergänzt: „Mit der Umspannstation ist nun auch das Herzstück des Windparks installiert. Sobald der Netzanschluss steht, beginnen wir mit der Inbetriebnahme. Wir planen derzeit den Windpark Ende 2014 fertigzustellen und den Testbetrieb im Frühjahr 2015 abzuschließen.“

Die Umspannstation auf See wandelt den von den 48 Windkraftanlagen mit 33kV (Kilovolt) Mittelspannung erzeugten Strom auf eine Übertragungsspannung von 155kV um. Über Hochspannungsseekabel wird der Strom dann zu der Umspannplattform von TenneT transportiert, wo die Wechselspannung auf 250kV Gleichspannung umgewandelt und zum nächstgelegenen Netzanschlusspunkt in Brunsbüttel transportiert wird. Für den Netzanschluss ist der Netzbetreiber TenneT verantwortlich.

Das Umspannwerk wurde – wie die Windturbinen – auf einem Stahlgerüstfundament auf dem Meeresboden befestigt und ragt nach der Endmontage rund 40 Meter über den Meeresspiegel hinaus.

Nach seiner Fertigstellung wird der Offshore-Windpark Nordsee Ost über eine installierte Leistung von rund 295 Megawatt verfügen und umgerechnet rund 300.000 Haushalte im Jahr mit Strom versorgen. Ausgestattet mit den derzeit leistungsstärksten Offshore-Turbinen, gehört Nordsee Ost zu den größten kommerziellen Windkraftprojekten vor der deutschen Küste.

TenneT hat jetzt ihre fünfte Offshore-Plattform für den Netzanschluss von Windparks in der Nordsee installiert. Mit der Konverterplattform Helwin beta können weitere 690 Megawatt Offshore-Windenergie mit Hilfe von Gleichstromtechnologie in das Übertragungsnetz eingespeist werden – dies entspricht der Größenordnung eines mittelgroßen konventionellen Kraftwerks.
 
„Wir haben ein weiteres großes Zwischenziel erreicht und realisieren somit Schritt für Schritt die von der Bundesregierung gesetzten Offshore-Ausbauziele“, sagte Lex Hartman, Mitglied der Geschäftsführung von TenneT. Die Bundesregierung sieht bis 2020 eine Offshore-Windkapazität von 6,5 Gigawatt vor. „TenneT ist auf einem guten Weg, diese Ziele bereits ein Jahr früher bestens erfüllen zu können“, betonte Hartman, denn zusammen mit den inzwischen errichteten und den noch fertigzustellenden Netzanbindungen werde es bis 2019 rund 7,1 Gigawatt Übertragungskapazität für Offshore-Windenergie in der deutschen Nordsee geben. Allein die seit Herbst 2013 durch TenneT in der Nordsee errichteten vier Konverterplattformen – auch Umrichterplattformen genannt, da sie Wechselstrom in Gleichstrom umwandeln – können ab 2015 rund 2,9 Gigawatt Offshore-Windenergie an Land transportiert werden. Eine weitere „Steckdose“ für Windkraft auf See mit 0,9 Gigawatt Kapazität hat TenneT bereits ausgeschrieben. Daran anschließend ist ein kontinuierlicher Zubau durch die Vergabe eines Netzanschlusssystems mit jeweils 0,9 Gigawatt etwa alle zwei Jahre geplant.

Die Ausführung der Arbeiten bei der jetzt errichteten Offshore-Plattform HelWin beta hatte Siemens als Generalunternehmer im Auftrag von TenneT vorgenommen. Jan Mrosik, CEO der Division Power Transmission im Sektor Energy der Siemens AG sagte: „Das HelWin2-Projekt ist nun auf der Zielgera-den zur Inbetriebnahme im Jahr 2015“.

HelWin beta ist eine Tochterplattform von HelWin alpha. Durch die gemeinsame Nutzung von Anlagen der Mutterplattform HelWin alpha, wie etwa dem Helikopterdeck, werden Synergien hergestellt, die zur Kostensenkung eingesetzt werden. Die Plattform HelWin beta liegt nur 20 Meter neben der bereits im vergangenen Jahr installierten Plattform HelWin alpha. Beide Plattformen werden mit einer Brücke verbunden. Sie dient als Zugang zur HelWin-beta-Plattform, wird aber auch für Kabelverbindungen zwischen den Offshore-Plattformen genutzt.

Bei der Errichtung der Offshore-Plattform HelWin beta, 35 Kilometer nördlich der namensgebenden Nordseeinsel Helgoland gelegen, wurden enorme technische Herausforderungen gemeistert. HelWin beta ist mit 130 Kilometer langen See- und Erdkabeln, die bereits überwiegend verlegt worden sind, an die landseitige Umrichterstation in Büttel angebunden.
 
Im April wurde das Fundament (Jacket) der Umrichterplattform zum Installationsort in der Nordsee transportiert. Im dortigen Baufeld wurde das Jacket mit Hilfe eines Kranschiffs installiert und im Meeresboden verankert. Anschließend wurde die Oberkonstruktion auf dem Fundament (Topside) auf ein Transport-Ponton (Barge) verladen und von Zwijndrecht in den Niederlanden zum Jacket-Standort vor Helgoland transportiert. Dort wurde sie vom Kranschiff auf das Jacket gehoben und mit diesem verschweißt. Die Plattform hat eine Länge von 98 m, eine Breite von 42 m, und eine Höhe von rund 28 m und wiegt mehr als 10.000 Tonnen.

Die Senvion SE, eine hundertprozentige Tochtergesellschaft innerhalb der Suzlon Gruppe, dem fünftgrößten* Windenergieanlagenhersteller der Welt, hat letzte Woche die ersten Offshore-Anlagen für Nordsee Ost installiert. Der RWE Hochseewindpark befindet sich rund 35 Kilometer nördlich der Insel Helgoland und wird mitinsgesamt 48 Maschinen des Typs 6.2M126 ausgestattet. Jede Turbine verfügt über eine Nennleistung von 6,15 Megawatt (MW) und kann damit rund 4.000 Haushalte mit Strom versorgen. Nach der geplanten Fertigstellung im Frühjahr 2015 wird der Offshore-Windpark Nordsee Ost über eine installierte Leistung von rund 295 MW verfügen und umgerechnet rund 300.000 Haushalte im  Jahr mit Strom versorgen. Damit gehört Nordsee Ost zu den größten kommerziellen Windkraftprojekten vor der deutschen Küste.

Senvion liefert alle Komponenten der Windenergieanlagen sowie die Service-Plattformkräne. Aktuell werden die Naben, Rotorblätter, Maschinenhäuser, Türme und weitere Plattform-Komponenten im Basishafen CT1 in Bremerhaven weitestgehend vormontiert und auf Spezialschiffe zum Transport an ihren Bestimmungsort verladen. Die Installation der Turbinen soll dieses Jahr abgeschlossen werden, die Inbetriebnahme ist ab September geplant. Für Nordsee Ost werden die Turbinen in einer Wassertiefe von 22 bis 25 Metern errichtet. Mit der jetzt installierten Maschine stehen aktuell insgesamt 93 Senvion Offshore-Turbinen in europäischen Gewässern. Zusammen mit den an Land installierten 16 Maschinen hat Senvion inzwischen Erfahrung mit Multi-Megawatt-Turbinen ineiner gesamten Betriebslaufzeit von 350 Jahren – mehr als jeder andere Hersteller.

Nordsee Ost sollte ursprünglich zwischen 2011 und 2013 errichtet werden; erste Anlagen sollten schon 2012 ans Netz gehen. Aufgrund von Verzögerungen beim Netzanschluss musste der Startschuss für die Installation bis jetzt verschoben werden.  Andreas Nauen, Vorstandsvorsitzender (CEO) Senvion SE,sagt dazu: „Wir freuen uns sehr, dass die ersten
Turbinen für Nordsee Ost jetzt im Wasser stehen! Eine erfolgreiche Energiewende braucht Onshore und Offshore und die Windenergie insgesamt  braucht verlässliche Rahmenbedingungen. Das derzeit im EEG 2.0 vorgesehene Stauchungsmodell betrachten wir als sinnvolle Vergütung, auf die Finanzierungen bauen werden.“

Am Sonnabend präsentierte Bürgermeister Jörg Singer der FDP-Kreistagsfraktion Perspektiven und Pläne der Insel für die kommenden Jahre. Die Politiker waren zu Gast auf Helgoland.
„Wir sind eine Insel des Wandels“, sagt Singer. „Aber der Wandel kam meistens von außen.“
