Vor jährlichen Leerkosten von bis zu einer Milliarde Euro bei der Anbindung von Offshore-Windenergie in der Nordsee warnte jetzt eine Studie der Offshore Management Ressources. Die Studie hat im Auftrag des Übertragungsnetzbetreibers TenneT den Umsetzungsstatus von Offshore-Windparkprojekten in der deutschen Nordsee untersucht. Danach werden in den nächsten zehn Jahren bis 2023 lediglich zwischen 3.700 Megawatt (konservatives Szenario) und 5.900 Megawatt (optimistisches Szenario) Windkapazität in der Nordsee errichtet werden können. Gleichzeitig entstehen bereits heute Anbindungskapazitäten von 6.200 Megawatt für Offshore-Windenergie aus der Nordsee. Diese Kapazität könnte bereits für einen realistischen Ausbau der Windenergie ausreichen, so die Studie. Mit Blick auf diese Ergebnisse forderte heute Lex Hartman, Mitglied der Geschäftsführung von TenneT: „Um die Ziele der Energiewende zu erreichen, brauchen wir ein Robustheitskriterium für die Ausbauziele der Offshore-Windenergie. Nur so kann ein realistischer und effizienter Ausbau der auf See erzeugten Windenergie gelingen.“ Und, so Hartman, weiter: „Schon jetzt wird deutlich, dass die Gefahr einer Lücke zwischen der Errichtung der Netzanbindungssysteme und dem Zubau an Offshore-Windkapazität besteht. Wir bauen bereits heute Anbindungskapazität praktisch auf Vorrat. Wir müssen dringend Wege finden, den Ausbau der Offshore-Windenergie gleichmäßig voranzutreiben, um zumindest die bereits entstehenden Anbindungskapazitäten effektiv zu nutzen. Daher möchten wir gemeinsam mit der Politik und der Windparkbranche Maßnahmen zu definieren, die eine optimale Nutzung der beauftragten Netzanbindungskapazität sicherstellen. Dies kann entscheidend zum Erhalt der Akzeptanz für die Offshore-Windenergie als einem wesentlichen Element der Energiewende beitragen.“ Bereits heute betreibt oder baut TenneT elf Netzanbindungssysteme in der Nordsee, mit denen 6.200 Megawatt Offshore-Windstrom an Land transportiert werden können. Zwei weitere Systeme mit insgesamt 1.800 Megawatt sind ausgeschrieben. Dies entspricht den Plänen der Bundesregierung und den Vorgaben des Offshore-Netzentwicklungsplans. Gleichzeitig ist laut der Studie mit 2.900 Megawatt nur ein Bruchteil der geplanten Windkapazität in der Nordsee verbindlich gesichert und finanziert. 2.300 Megawatt davon werden aktuell gebaut. Dagegen ist im Offshore Netzentwicklungsplan bis 2023 ein signifikanter Zubau von Netzanbindungskapazität auf insgesamt 12.800 Megawatt vorsehen.

Da es sich bei der Offshore-Windenergie um einen noch neuen Technologiebereich handelt, gibt es zur Zeit noch keine einheitlichen Ausbildungsstandarts. Gefragt sind besonders Ingenieure (Bauingenieur, Elektrotechnik und Maschinenbau) sowie Facharbeiter aus dem Metallbaubereich. Gute Einstiegsmöglichkeiten haben auch Servicetechniker aus dem Bereich Anlagenbetrieb- und Montage.

Die Branche sieht geeignete Lösungen für den Fachkräftebedarf in Umschulungen und internen Qualifizierungsmaßnahmen.

Bis zum 31.Mai ist die Wanderausstellung „Faszination Offshore – Wind vom Meer für neue Energie in Stadt und Land"  im Foyer der Technischen Universität Hamburg-Harburg zu sehen.
Das Ziel der von der Stiftung OFFSHORE-WINDENERGIE initiierten, und vom Bundesumweltministerium geförderten Ausstellung ist es, eine aktive Informationsarbeit rund um das Thema Offshore-Windenergie zu leisten.
„Offshore-Windkraft ist für die Umsetzung der Energiewende unverzichtbar", erklärt Jörg Kuhbier, Vorstandsvorsitzender der Stiftung OFFSHORE-WINDENERGIE.
„Mit unserer Ausstellung möchten wir die Akzeptanz dieser sauberen Energiegewinnung fördern und der interessierten Bevölkerung die junge Technologie mit ihren faszinierenden Facetten und einer Wertschöpfungskette, die von den Küstenländern bis in den Süden der Republik reicht, ein Stückchen näher bringen", so Kuhbier weiter.
Auf insgesamt 13 Infotafeln können sich Neugierige und Interessierte über die verschiedenen Aspekte der Windenergiegewinnung in der Nord- und Ostsee informieren. Zusätzlich gibt ein Kurzfilm weitere Einblicke in Aufbau und Betrieb der Windparks auf See.

Bis zum Herbst 2014 wird die Ausstellung in verschiedenen Städten Deutschlands zu sehen sein.

Heute wurden die Grunstücke am Südhafen auf Helgoland an die drei Offshore-Windparkbetreiber RWE, Eon, und WindMW übergeben. Weiterhin hat auch die Baufirma HCH Hagemann und der Tankstellenbetreiber Joachim Gehrmann auf dem Areal ein Grundstück angemietet. In der nächsten Woche soll bereits die Baustelleneinrichtung beginnen. Auf dem Gelände werden drei Lagerhallen für die Windkraftbetreiber gebaut.
